After a terrible tragedy like the Oct. 1 mass shooting at Umpqua Community College, everyone from our nation's commander-in-chief, to presidential candidates, to NRA members is commenting on what needs to be done, or not done. Those who believe that taking a look at our gun laws is not the answer seem to think that the problem is our mental health system. They conclude that if we fix that, we'll "fix" the problem of gun violence.
